Delete your account
Updated 23 August 2026
In plain language:
- In the app: Settings → Delete account.
- Don't have the app installed? Ask us through the contact pageand we'll do it for you.
- Your account is closed straight away. Remaining data is removed after 30 days.
- Want to remove only some data? You can delete logged meals, water entries, and your photo without closing your account.
- A paid subscription is cancelled separately in Google Play — deleting your account does not stop billing.
Delete from inside the app
This is the fastest route and needs nothing from us. Open NutriHygiene, go to Settings, scroll to Delete account, and confirm when you're asked. You will be signed out immediately and your account will be closed.
If you no longer have the app
You do not need to reinstall anything. Send us a request through the contact page and include the email address your account uses, so we can find it. Tell us that you want your account deleted.
We may ask you to confirm the request from that email address before we act on it. That step exists to stop someone else from deleting your account, and it is the only thing we use those messages for.
Delete only some of your data
You do not have to close your account to remove things you have logged. Inside the app you can, at any time:
- Remove a logged meal, or a single item within it, from the meal you tapped
- Delete a water log entry, or a water container you created
- Remove your profile photo
Anything removed this way leaves your account straight away and is permanently deleted on the same 30-day schedule described below.
If you want us to delete something you cannot remove yourself, ask through the contact page. Tell us which data you mean and the email address on your account, and we will handle it without closing the account.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account removes the personal data we hold for you, including:
- Your name, email, and sign-in identifiers
- Your profile photo, if you added one
- Height, weight history, age, activity level, goals, and any diet preferences, allergies, or medical conditions you recorded
- Meals you logged, water logs, and exercise entries
- Step data synced from Health Connect
- Brio chat history
- Push notification tokens for your devices
What we keep, and why
At the same 30-day point, your account record is anonymised rather than removed outright: your name, email, username, profile photo, bio, and phone number are cleared, so what remains cannot be traced back to you.
Three things outlast the 30 days:
- Subscription and payment records. Tax and accounting rules require us to keep them.
- A history of email-address changes. Kept for account security and fraud checks.
- Your calorie-event history. Kept, but attached only to the anonymised account record above — no longer linked to your name or email.
None of it is used to rebuild your profile or to contact you, and none of it is sold or shared for advertising.
How long it takes
Your account closes the moment the deletion runs — you are signed out on every device immediately, and your Brio conversations stop being retrievable straight away. The data listed above is permanently removed within 30 days, and your account record is anonymised at the same point.
Requests sent through the contact page are actioned once we have confirmed the request comes from the account holder, and the same 30-day clock starts from then.
Your subscription is separate
If you subscribed to NutriHygiene Pro, deleting your account does not cancel the subscription and does not stop Google from billing you. Subscriptions are managed by Google Play, not by us.
Cancel it first: open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, choose NutriHygiene, and tap Cancel subscription. Then come back and delete your account.
Changed your mind?
You can sign up again with the same email address within 30 days to reactivate your account — but it comes back as a fresh start. Onboarding runs again, and your previous meals, weights, goals, and chat history are not restored. Signing up again permanently discards them, so it is a recovery of the account, not of the data. After 30 days the account cannot be reactivated at all.
If you only want to step away for a while, sign out instead — signing out leaves everything exactly where it is.
