A weight-loss plan can include roti. The amount you eat and your overall food intake matter; there is no single calorie value that applies to every roti.
Describe the roti you eat
Note whether it is a small homemade roti or a larger tandoori one. Size, thickness and added oil or ghee affect the estimate. Our food entries use example serving weights and have not yet had source verification.
Record the rest of the meal
Include the daal or salan, drinks and sides in your log. Use the serving you actually ate rather than assuming every plate matches an example.
When your progress is unclear
A food log can help you check what was recorded, but it cannot explain every weight change. If you are concerned about your progress, discuss it with a qualified doctor or dietitian.
See a doctor if you keep losing weight without trying. Unintentional weight loss can have several causes and needs assessment.
